College Broadcasters Inc. (CBI) named ¾¨Ó㴫ý’s student media website, , the third place winner of the 2020 CBI National Student Production Awards for Best Student Website.
The website is maintained by ¾¨Ó㴫ý’s combined student newsroom featuring journalists and editors from The Holcad newspaper, Titan Radio and ¾¨Ó㴫ý Cable.
CBI award winners were announced at the 2020 National Student Electronic Media Convention held virtually Oct. 28-30.
The website, , operates from the converged newsroom in the School of Communication. In addition to serving the local campus and community with news, sports and information, the newsroom is a living, learning experiential space for ¾¨Ó㴫ý’s young journalists. The newsroom is also an outlet for student-produced content from courses and serves as a practical, immersive laboratory for learning and portfolio-building.
