¾¨Ó㴫ý will host the 9th Annual Student Environmental Symposium from 5:30-9:00 p.m., Thursday, Dec. 1, in McKelvey Campus Center. Sponsored by ¾¨Ó㴫ý’s Environmental Programs and the Slippery Rock Watershed Coalition, the event is free and open to the public.

Regino Flores, a student at ¾¨Ó㴫ý, was recently selected as one of four lucky winners in Sodexo’s Take a Bite Out of Hunger National Prize Sweepstakes and will have a $2,500 donation made in his name to the food-related charity of his choice. Sodexo and Flores will be presenting a check to Kevin Green from the City Rescue Mission on campus on Thursday, Nov. 17.

¾¨Ó㴫ý Christian fellowship group, Seekers, recently took part in a project alongside Operation Christmas Child (OCC) to send shoe boxes full of gifts to children in over 100 different countries in Eastern Europe, Asia, Africa, and South America.

The ¾¨Ó㴫ý School of Nursing will launch its inaugural program in Fall Semester 2017 in a collaborative agreement with UPMC Jameson’s School of Nursing in New Castle, leading to both a nursing diploma and a bachelor of science in nursing (BSN) degree in the new four-year program.

The ¾¨Ó㴫ý Celebrity Series will welcome Sandi Patty back for the third and last time to appear on the Orr stage to celebrate “Christmas Blessings” as part of her “Forever Grateful: The Farewell Tour” Tuesday, Dec. 6, at 7:30 p.m. in Orr Auditorium. The event is sponsored by Giant Eagle.
