The Rev. Steven Mark Allen will formally be installed as the ¾¨Ó㴫ý Chaplain at the Vespers Service, Sunday, Oct. 14, at 7 p.m., in Wallace Memorial Chapel.
¾¨Ó㴫ý presents the Kuntu Repertory Theatre, Pittsburgh's oldest Black theatre company, Wednesday, Sept. 6, at 7 p.m. in Beeghly Theater.
Members of Kappa Delta Pi, an international education honor society at ¾¨Ó㴫ý, will celebrate the 18th Annual Reading is Fun Week with "Family Storytime" Thursday, April 10, from 6-7:30 p.m. in Ferguson Hall Lobby.
"Parents, grandparents, aunts, uncles and cousins can wear their pajamas and bring their little ones to this evening storytime event," said Dr. Linda Domanski, assistant professor of education and advisor of the group. "Members of Kappa Delta Pi will be there to read stories to your children."
Two ¾¨Ó㴫ý music education majors will perform their capstone recitals Friday, Dec. 1., at 7 p.m.
Four ¾¨Ó㴫ý students recently received Ann M. Kendlehart Scholarships.

Dr. David Newman will give ¾¨Ó㴫ý's 2008 Woods Memorial Lecture Friday, April 11, at 4:15 p.m. in Phillips Lecture Hall in Hoyt Science Resources Center. The presentation is free and open to the public.



Following the Thanksgiving feast and obligatory turkey-induced nap, ¾¨Ó㴫ý Field Station Director Dr. Clarence Harms urges celebrants to compost the waste and make it a daily celebration.
¾¨Ó㴫ý's Peace Studies Program will observe United Nations' International Day of Peace with a showing of the award-winning documentary Pray the Devil Back to Hell Monday, Sept. 21, at 7 p.m. in room 314 of Thompson Clark Hall. The event is free and open to the public.
¾¨Ó㴫ý junior philosophy major Michael Gorman was one of eight presenters at the Duquesne University Undergraduate Philosophy Conference April 10.



Dr. Russell Martin, ¾¨Ó㴫ý professor of history, was elevated to the Russian Imperial Order of St. Anna, second class, on Dec. 23 by Her Imperial Highness, Grand Duchess Maria Vladimirovna.
