Daniel Klipa, a senior mathematics major at ¾¨Ó㴫ý, recently attended the Workshop for New Markets, Institutions, and Economic Strategies held at the University of Arizona.

Chris Heilmann, president of Merrill Lynch Trust Co., will speak at ¾¨Ó㴫ý Thursday, Feb. 14, at 7 p.m. in Wallace Memorial Chapel.
Heilmann, a 1972 ¾¨Ó㴫ý graduate and Board of Trustee member, will present "A First Hand Perspective of September 11 on Wall Street."

Dr. David Goldberg, ¾¨Ó㴫ý assistant professor of philosophy, recently published his article "A Nietzschean Solution to Ethical Relativism" in the book Existentialist Thinkers and Ethics.
"My article concerns an inherent critique of Existentialism, especially those kinds branded as atheistic Existentialism: Sartre and Nietzsche in particular," Goldberg said. "With the postmodern death of metaphysics, a position that grounds these forms of Existentialism, ethical decision making appears to become impossible as all positions seem to be equally justified. My paper attempts to offer a Nietzschean solution to this problem by examining his concept of genealogy and the significance it plays in ethical decision making."

Dr. Shahroukh Mistry, assistant professor of biology, will deliver the Henderson Lecture Wednesday, Oct. 3, at 7 p.m. in the Witherspoon Maple Room of the McKelvey Campus Center.Â

Dr. Eileen Morelli, ¾¨Ó㴫ý associate professor of education, will present "CHIPS: A College/High School Interactive Literacy Project" at Faires Faculty Forum on Wednesday, April 16, at 11:40 a.m. in the Sebastian Mueller Theater in the McKelvey Campus Center.

Dr. Edward Cohen, ¾¨Ó㴫ý associate professor and chair of the Department of Political Science and Sociology, is the author of "Constructing Power Through Law: Private Law Pluralism and Harmonization in the Global Political Economy" published in the December issue of the Review of International Political Economy.

¾¨Ó㴫ý's Celebrity Series welcomes composer and performer Paul Anka in concert Wednesday, Oct. 21, at 7:30 p.m. in Orr Auditorium.
