Dr. Jeffrey Bersett, assistant professor of Spanish at ¾¨Ó㴫ý, will speak at Faculty Forum Wednesday, Oct. 9, at 11:30 a.m. in the McKelvey Campus Center.
Dr. Dan Black, professor of economics at Syracuse University, will discuss his research, "The Effect of Sexual Orientation on Earnings," Monday, Feb. 19, at 4 p.m. at Phillips Lecture Hall, located in the Hoyt Science Resources Center room G-12.
Dr. James Perkins, professor of English and chair of the Department of English and Public Relations, begins the 2002 Bleasby Colloquium Thursday, Sept. 19, at 7 p.m. in Hoyt Science Resources Center room 166.
The ¾¨Ó㴫ý Democrats and Republicans sponsored a voter registration that yielded about 40 new students, and they handed out 30 absentee ballots for the upcoming election.
The ¾¨Ó㴫ý Department of Modern Languages and the Drinko Center for Excellence in Teaching and Learning, as part of the new Language in Motion program on campus, are working with language teachers to sponsor a day-long seminar for about 60 Wilmington Area High School Latin and French students on April 17.
The ¾¨Ó㴫ý Drinko Center for Excellence in Teaching and Learning has awarded grants to three students to continue their undergraduate research and to present their work at the American Chemical Society National Meeting in New Orleans in the spring.
Nine ¾¨Ó㴫ý students earned master of education degrees over the summer.

The ¾¨Ó㴫ý Celebrity Series will bring the children's show, Magic Tree House: The Musical, to the stage of Orr Auditorium Thursday, May 14, at 7 p.m.

Dr. Timothy Cuff, ¾¨Ó㴫ý associate professor of history and coordinator of ¾¨Ó㴫ý's First Year program, will discuss his experiences as a McCandless Scholar at Faires Faculty Forum Wednesday, Feb. 10, at 11:40 a.m. in the Sebastian Mueller Theater of the McKelvey Campus Center.

The first Sustainability in Motion workshop will be held Saturday, Oct. 23, from 9 a.m.-noon at the ¾¨Ó㴫ý Field Station, 937 Fayette-New Wilmington Road.
