¾¨Ó㴫ý hosts Discovery Day for high school students

High school students interested in learning more about college life are invited to attend ¾¨Ó㴫ý Discovery Day on Monday, Feb. 19.

Prospective students and two guests will learn about the different academic majors offered at ¾¨Ó㴫ý, meet faculty and students and explore the campus.

Beginning at 8:30 a.m., the day will be broken into four eventful blocks to give prospective students a taste of life at ¾¨Ó㴫ý.  Academic sessions will be held at 9:20 a.m., 10:30 a.m. and 11:40 a.m. and feature hands-on learning opportunities and faculty and current students representing ¾¨Ó㴫ý’s eight schools—Arts and Humanities, Business, Communication, Education, Life and Health Sciences, Music, Physical and Mathematical Sciences and Social Sciences.  

Parents and guests will meet with a student panel, learn about financial aid opportunities and take in a show at the ¾¨Ó㴫ý Planetarium.

A complimentary lunch will be provided in Galbreath Dining and optional campus tours will be available from 1 p.m. to 3:30 p.m.
