Dr. Sandra K. Webster, professor and chair of psychology at ¾¨Ó㴫ý, will present "Lessons Learned in Korea" Wednesday, Sept. 19, at 11:45 a.m. in 311 Patterson Hall.
Webster spent last year teaching in Korea on a Fulbright Scholarship.
"I'll be talking about the lessons learning in Korea about teaching," said Webster. "Although I taught mostly the same classes I teach at ¾¨Ó㴫ý, I did so in vastly different settings, urban, large university, and in a second language. I also was teaching for the first time in a traditional confucist culture."
Webster, who has been with ¾¨Ó㴫ý since 1983, earned her undergraduate degree, her master's and her Ph.D. from Southern Illinois University. She is the recipient of two Fulbright Scholar Grants, and author of numerous peer-reviewed publications.
