Nicholas McIntire named vice president of institutional advancement

¾¨Ó㴫ý has appointed Nicholas McIntire as the new vice president for institutional advancement following a nationwide search, effective Monday, Feb. 10. McIntire, who will serve on the College’s Leadership Team, will oversee ¾¨Ó㴫ý’s fundraising, donor relations and alumni engagement initiatives.

“It is an honor to join ¾¨Ó㴫ý’s talented institutional advancement team. The College has a rich tradition of preparing students for strong post-graduation outcomes, and I am grateful for the opportunity to be a part of that legacy,” McIntire said. “I look forward to connecting and engaging generations of ¾¨Ó㴫ý alumni with our students, faculty and staff so, together, we can forge ¾¨Ó㴫ý’s bright future.”

McIntire brings more than a decade of higher education advancement and fundraising experience to ¾¨Ó㴫ý, most recently as senior director of advancement operations and campaign manager at Allegheny College, a position he has held since 2020.

For nine years, he was a member of Slippery Rock University’s advancement division, serving as director of advancement services and donor relations, as well as director of advancement services and administrative systems development. Additionally, as a fundraising consultant since 2016, he has provided consulting services to various colleges, universities and nonprofit organizations.

“Nicholas McIntire comes to ¾¨Ó㴫ý with a wealth of experience and knowledge in fundraising and donor relations, and I am confident he will be a strong addition to ¾¨Ó㴫ý’s leadership team and administration,” said ¾¨Ó㴫ý President Dr. Kathy Brittain Richardson. “With his college advancement experience, he will be a great asset in engaging our alumni and helping advance the mission of ¾¨Ó㴫ý.”

McIntire, who resides in Slippery Rock, Pa., holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Information Technology and an MBA, both from Slippery Rock University. He also is a Certified Fundraising Executive (CFRE). He is active in the Council for the Advancement and Support of Education and the Association of Advancement Services Professionals.
