Jacklyn Gates, a junior chemistry major from ¾¨Ó㴫ý, recently earned the Penn-Ohio Border Section College Award for Excellence in Chemistry.

"She was chosen because she was the outstanding junior chemistry major," said Dr. Martha Joseph, assistant professor and acting chair of chemistry at ¾¨Ó㴫ý.

Gates is a daughter of Scott and Constance Gates, 17527 Mullen Road, Meadville, and a graduate of Meadville Area High School.
