Two teams of ¾¨Ó㴫ý students competed in the 19th annual Denison University Spring Computer Programming Competition Feb. 23.
Each team had four hours to solve as many of a set of six problems as possible. Teams were graded on how many problems they solved correctly, how quickly they solved them, and how many incorrect solutions they submitted before submitting the correct one.
¾¨Ó㴫ý Team 2 members are Bryan Bischof, James Bryan, Andrew Polack, and Stephen Rossi. They placed seventh of 21 teams from Pennsylvania, Ohio, and Michigan, and correctly solved two of the six problems, the last with less than five minutes remaining in the contest.
¾¨Ó㴫ý Team 1 included Jordan Camara, Mark Gordon, and Aaron Zavora. They placed 17th.
Dr. John Bonomo, ¾¨Ó㴫ý associate professor of computer science, coached the students and accompanied them to the competition.
