Two ¾¨Ó㴫ý students and their adviser, representing ¾¨Ó㴫ý's Student Alumni Association (SAA), attended the Association of Student Advancement Programs District II conference in North Bay, Ontario, Feb. 1-3.
Kelly Corbin, a senior public relations major, is a daughter of Luann Field of Bettendorf, Iowa, and Richard Corbin of Davenport, Iowa. She is a graduate of Bettendorf High School. Corbin is chair of SAA's alumni connections committee.
Eugene Cunningham, a senior business administration major, is a son of Lorri and Eugene Cunningham of Connellsville and a graduate of Connellsville Area High School.
Corbin and Cunningham presented "Speed Networking & Networking 101," with a focus on opportunities for building connections between students and alumni.
The students were accompanied by Mary James, ¾¨Ó㴫ý director of alumni relations and adviser to SAA.
"Kelly and Gene have been very involved in SAA and are good representatives of our association," James said. "This was a good opportunity for them to learn from other organizations and bring ideas back to ¾¨Ó㴫ý."
The ¾¨Ó㴫ý Student Alumni Association works to increase student awareness of the value of a lifelong connection with the College and to build connections between students and alumni. Each year the Association assists with Homecoming festivities; on- and off-campus alumni events; hosts student and alumni networking events, and campus Mardi Gras activities.
