The ¾¨Ó㴫ý Orchestra will present "A Holiday Celebration!" Monday, Nov. 24, at 7:30 p.m. in Orr Auditorium. The concert is free and open to the public.
The concert, under the direction of ¾¨Ó㴫ý instructor of music and director of orchestras Jonathan Moser, will include many familiar carols and favorite Christmas-season songs. The audience will be invited to sing along in a German carol festival.
Lowden's arrangement of Mel Torme's popular "Christmas Song" will feature a student vocal quartet: soprano Alicia Tansey, alto Stephanie Witzorreck, tenor Kevin Tomb, and bass Ian Turner. The quartet will also sing "Frosty the Snowman," "Home for the Holidays," and "White Christmas."
The concert will conclude with Handel's "Hallelujah Chorus."
Moser, who has been with ¾¨Ó㴫ý since 2005, earned an undergraduate degree from Shenandoah University and master's from Arizona State University.
