The ¾¨Ó㴫ý Chamber Singers and Concert Choir will present "Gloria in Excelsis Deo" Sunday, April 25, at 3 p.m. in Wallace Memorial Chapel. The concert is free and open to the public.
Under the direction of Dr. Robin Lind, ¾¨Ó㴫ý associate professor of music and director of choral activities, the Chamber Singers are accompanied by Leaha Parady, and Amanda Gentzel accompanies the Concert Choir.
The Concert Choir's program includes: "Lord God, You Have Called Your Servants;" two Scottish folksongs featuring a piano duet by Gentzel and Christopher Granger; "I've Been in the Storm So Long" with soloist Sara Seiberling; "Gloria in Excelsis Deo," featuring a duet by soprano Deanna Owens and tenor William Ambert, ¾¨Ó㴫ý adjunct music faculty, and accompanied by Raymond Ocock, ¾¨Ó㴫ý professor of music emeritus; and "Battle Hymn of the Republic."
The Chamber Singers will perform "The Dark-Eyed Sailor;" "The Old Church;" "Sanctus;" "Down to the River to Pray" with Claudia Brown on violin; "Big Easy on My Mind;" and "Chili Con Carne."
Lind, who has been with ¾¨Ó㴫ý since 2000, earned her undergraduate degree from the College of Idaho, a master's from the University of Oregon, and Ph.D. from the University of Utah.
