The ¾¨Ó㴫ý Orchestra will present "A Solstice Celebration" Monday, Dec. 6, at 7:30 p.m. in Orr Auditorium. The concert is free and open to the public.
The program will include: Symphony No. 25 "Little G minor" by Mozart; "In the Steppes of Central Asia" by Borodin; "Adagio in G minor" by Giazotto; and "Carmen Suite No. 1" by Bizet.
Dr. Daniel Perttu, ¾¨Ó㴫ý assistant professor of music, will join the orchestra on bassoon.
The orchestra is under the direction of Melinda Crawford Perttu, who joined the ¾¨Ó㴫ý faculty in 2009. She earned an undergraduate degree from Duquesne University and a master's from Ohio State University.
