Dr. Beverly Cushman, ¾¨Ó㴫ý associate professor of religion and Christian education, was elected to a Society for Biblical Literature steering committee during a November conference in Atlanta.
Her steering committee will focus on "Teaching Biblical Literature in an Undergraduate Liberal Arts Context." Â The Society of Biblical Literature's annual meeting is the largest gathering of biblical scholars in the world.
Cushman, who has been with ¾¨Ó㴫ý since 2004, earned an undergraduate degree from Stetson University and two masters' and a Ph.D. from Vanderbilt University. She can be reached at cushmabw@westmintser.edu or (724) 946-7127.
