A group of ¾¨Ó㴫ý students attended the Region II Kennedy Center American College Theatre Festival (KCACTF) Jan. 11-15 at Towson University Center for the Arts in Maryland.
Seven ¾¨Ó㴫ý students competed or were partners for Irene Ryan Acting Scholarships for their work in Theatre ¾¨Ó㴫ý productions: William Armentrout, Derek Fredrickson, Chelsea Gallo, David Lynch, Zachary O'Connor, Daniel Rutkowski, and Victoria Walker.
Tegan McCune and Danielle Newport were nominated for the Design Technology Management exhibition.
Christian Heasley participated in the O'Neill Critics' Institute.
The students received travel/presentation grants from ¾¨Ó㴫ý's Drinko Center for Excellence in Teaching and Learning. The Drinko Center was created to enrich undergraduate education at ¾¨Ó㴫ý through advancing world-class teaching as well as by participating in collaborations that address community and regional needs including strengthening K-12 education. The Undergraduate Research Initiative provides funding for students to conduct research and to present their research at regional and national conferences. Visit for additional information about the Drinko Center.
