NEW WILMINGTON, Pa. - ¾¨Ó㴫ý's Chapel Drama will present Godspell Friday and Sunday, March 15 and 17, in Wallace Memorial Chapel.Ìý
Friday's show will be at 7 p.m. Sunday's performances will be at 2 p.m. and 7 p.m., which will take the place of evening vespers.Ìý The performances are open to the public.Ìý A freewill offering will be collected during intermission to support ¾¨Ó㴫ý's Campus Ministries.
Based on the book by John Michael Tebelak and on the Gospel according to St. Matthew, Godspell is one of the biggest off-Broadway and Broadway successes of all time. Drawing from various theatrical traditions, such as clowning, pantomime, charades, acrobatics and vaudeville, it is a groundbreaking and unique reflection on the life of Jesus, with a message of kindness, tolerance and love.
Godspell is entirely student produced.Ìý The production crew includes: co-directors Christian Heasley and Joshua Scott; choreographer Hannah Jaskiewicz; music director Ben Groves; stage manager Emily Hilliard; lighting by Stephen Bendig; costume designs by Courtney Jackson; and the cast and musicians.
