¾¨Ó㴫ý will host the 8th Annual Student Environmental Symposium, Thursday, December 3 in the McKelvey Campus Center. Sponsored by the Environmental Programs and the Slippery Rock Watershed Coalition, the event is free and open to the public.

Over 40 student researchers from ¾¨Ó㴫ý, Allegheny College, Duquesne University, Geneva College, Indiana University of Pennsylvania, Slippery Rock University, and Youngstown State University will present their research posters from 5:30 – 7 p.m. in the Witherspoon Rooms and will present oral presentations at 7 – 9 p.m. in Mueller Theater.

“The Symposium perfectly highlights student work in the region that relates to the environment,” said Dr. Helen Boylan, professor and chair of ¾¨Ó㴫ý’s environmental programs. “We have a wide variety of student projects being presented, from art projects made from natural dyes, to citizen science projects involving student-crafted spectrometers, to studies on invasive species. I encourage those who are interested in the environment to come network with—and support—the student presenters.”
