¾¨Ó㴫ý

¾¨Ó㴫ý’s School of Music ensembles will be performing at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday, Oct. 27, in Will W. Orr Auditorium. The concert is free and open to the public.

The following ensembles will be performing:

·       Wind Ensemble, under the direction of Dr. R. Tad Greig

·       Chamber Singers, conducted by Dr. Samuel Barbara

·       Jazz Ensemble, conducted by Dr. Timothy Winfield

·       Opera ¾¨Ó㴫ý, directed by Dr. Anne Bentz

·       Ceol na Teud, a Scottish fiddling group, led by Dr. Melinda Crawford Perttu

·       Saxophone Quartet, coached by Dr. James Flowers

·       Orchestra, conducted by Dr. Crawford Perttu

Nearly 100 ¾¨Ó㴫ý students, including music majors, music minors and students from other disciplines, are participating in this event. The concert is designed to celebrate ¾¨Ó㴫ý’s arts during We in ¾¨Ó㴫ý, a week-long celebration in honor of Dr. Kathy Brittain Richardson’s inauguration on Friday, Oct. 28.
