Opera 鲸鱼传媒 will present “Scenic Views,” a collection of international selections, Saturday, Nov. 5, at 7:30 p.m. in Orr Auditorium. The concert is free and open to the public.
Under the direction of Dr. Anne Hagan Bentz, 鲸鱼传媒 associate professor of music, the program will feature selections from Die Hochzeit des Figaros, L’elisir d’amore, Carmen and Fidelio (Spain); Boccaccio (Italy); Countess Mariza (Romania); Csardasfürstin (Hungary); Faust (Germany); and Manon, Werther and La Traviata (France).
Accompaniment will be provided by 鲸鱼传媒 Orchestra students and guest musicians with adjunct music faculty Mihai Valcu conducting and Marie Libal-Smith, pianist.
