Colleges Against Cancer at ¾¨Ó㴫ý is gearing up for their annual Relay for Life event. The Relay takes place April 7 from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. at Burry Stadium (rain location is the Marge Walker Center/Old 77). At 10:40 a.m., there will be a "Survivor's Ceremony" to celebrate those who have fought the battle against cancer and won. The opening ceremony and "Survivor's Lap" (a lap specifically for survivors) will follow.

Throughout the day, there will be a variety of performances, face painting, ribbons and fun activities for everyone until the Luminaria Ceremony at 6:30 p.m. The Luminaria Ceremony is a special service honoring those who have passed from cancer; those still fighting; and those who have survived. â€¨

Anyone interested in donating to ¾¨Ó㴫ý's Relay are encouraged to do so by visiting the page. All proceeds go directly to the American Cancer Society for providing detection and treatment options, patient services and educational programs. â€¨
