¾¨Ó㴫ý Hosts First "Woodwind Day," March 17

¾¨Ó㴫ý is hosting the first annual "Woodwind Day" on March 17 from 10 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. in Orr Auditorium. Participants will have the opportunity to learn and perform with top level professional woodwind pedagogues and performers. Woodwind players at all levels are welcome to attend.

The guest artists for this year’s woodwind day are Dr. Wildy Zumwalt (saxophone) and Allyson Edington (clarinet). Dr. Zumwalt is professor of saxophone at SUNY Fredonia and has extensive performing experience across the USA and Europe. Edington is a freelance clarinetist in Pittsburgh, PA, and is the executive director of the new-music ensemble, NAT 28.

Master-classes and rehearsals will be conducted by guest artists and ¾¨Ó㴫ý woodwind faculty, Zoe Sorrell (flute), Kim Winfield (oboe), Dan Heasley (clarinet), Dr. Dan Perttu (bassoon) and Dr. Jim Flowers (saxophone).
