NEW WILMINGTON, PA – The Colleges Against Cancer (CAC) chapter at ¾¨Ó㴫ý will host the annual ¾¨Ó㴫ý Relay for Life from 1 to 7 p.m. Sunday, April 14, at Burry Stadium, and members of the community are invited to participate.
A survivors ceremony, honoring those who have fought and won the battle against cancer, will be held at 12:30 p.m. A survivors lap will follow and any cancer survivors and their caregivers are invited to participate. The opening ceremony will begin at 1 p.m.
Throughout the day, there will be a variety of performances, face painting, crafts, vendors, food, games and other fun activities.
The special luminaria ceremony will be held at 6:30 p.m., with each light representing a life taken by cancer, a survivor or one still fighting the disease. A closing ceremony will follow.
Anyone interested in making a donation can do so by visiting the . All proceeds go directly to the American Cancer Society for providing detection and treatment options, patient services and educational programming.
In case of inclement weather, the event will be held inside ¾¨Ó㴫ý’s Old 77 gymnasium.
