Football: Titans Score School-Record 66 Points in Dominant Win at Saint Vincent

LATROBE, Pa. – The ¾¨Ó㴫ý football team remained undefeated in conference play as it won, 66-12, at Saint Vincent College in Presidents’ Athletic Conference (PAC) action Saturday afternoon. The win also marked the Titans’ fourth-straight.

As a liberal arts college, ¾¨Ó㴫ý is a place for students to grow both inside and outside of their majors. Being able to effectively communicate original ideas and findings is an essential skill—especially for students who tirelessly research in the laboratory. Therefore, the Chemistry Department hosts weekly seminars for junior and seniors to further develop their professional and oral communication skills.

Nawal Rajeh ’06 Kicks Off Spiritual Emphasis ¾¨Ó㴫ý 2017 Speaker Series

Alumna Nawal Rajeh, president and director of programs at By Peaceful Means (BPM), will be the first guest speaker for the Spiritual Emphasis ¾¨Ó㴫ý 2017 series. Rajeh will present her message entitled “Loving Action in the World: Working up the Will to Show Up” on Sunday, Oct. 15 at 7 p.m. in the Wallace Memorial Chapel. The service is open to the public.

¾¨Ó㴫ý College has teamed with The Pittsburgh Promise to be a Preferred College Partner. Beginning with the class of 2018, Promise eligible students accepted to one of 19 area colleges partnering in this initiative will be provided grants for room, board, or books. ¾¨Ó㴫ý promises to provide targeted transition and academic support services to ensure student retention and success.

Dr. David W. Goldberg Earns 2017-18 Henderson Lectureship Award

Dr. David W. Goldberg, associate professor of philosophy, has earned the 2017-2018 Henderson Lectureship Award. Goldberg joined the ¾¨Ó㴫ý faculty in 2002. He earned his B.A. and M.A. from Pennsylvania State University in Philosophy and was awarded a Ph.D.in Philosophy from Duquesne University.
