Members of the ¾¨Ó㴫ý Students in Free Enterprise (SIFE) collected and donated clothing for the Lawrence County Social Services, Inc. and the United Community Services of Lawrence County, Inc.
"We would like to thank the students and faculty at ¾¨Ó㴫ý for the clothing donations made to the SUITable Connection," said Janice Gathers of the United Community Services. "I had the opportunity to meet with Lisa Bohaychick and Christina Contes of SIFE, and we discussed how this organization is striving to make a positive impact in the surrounding communities."

Dr. Russell Martin, associate professor of history at ¾¨Ó㴫ý, was recently elected president of the Association for the Study of Eastern Christianity and Culture, an international scholarly organization. In addition to this two-year position, Martin has had many other recent accomplishments.
Clark Rolli, admissions counselor at ¾¨Ó㴫ý, will visit area high schools to speak with interested students about a liberal arts education at ¾¨Ó㴫ý, requirements for admissions, and financial aid.

Rob Prestowitz, executive director of UrbanPromise in Wilmington, Del., will present "God's Relentless Love: Here I Am, Send Me" at the Wayne H. Christy Memorial Lecture at ¾¨Ó㴫ý's Vespers service Sunday, April 13, at 7 p.m. in Wallace Memorial Chapel.

Delores Natale, ¾¨Ó㴫ý lecturer in public relations, was a featured speaker at the unveiling of a bronze statue of author Eudora Welty.

Keith Corso, ¾¨Ó㴫ý instructor of communication studies, was selected as an Emmy Fellow of the Academy of Television Arts and Sciences(ATAS) to attend a faculty seminar Nov. 10-14 in Los Angeles.


¾¨Ó㴫ý's McGill Library renovation project was recognized with an Award of Merit by the Associated Builders and Contractors (ABC) of Western Pennsylvania.

¾¨Ó㴫ý will host author and educator Jonathan Kozol for two sessions of "Shame of the Nation: Still Separate, Still Unequal" Tuesday, Feb. 22. Both presentations are free and open to the public.
Dr. David Cushman, professor and chair of ¾¨Ó㴫ý's Department of Economics and Business, is co-author of "Nonlinear Trends in Real Exchange Rates: A Panel Unit Root Test Approach" recently published in the Journal of International Money and Finance.

¾¨Ó㴫ý junior environmental science major Hilary Stenger received the Helen R. Ferguson Scholarship for excellence in environmental science.
