Dawn Chapman, assistant director of admissions at ¾¨Ó㴫ý, will visit area high schools to speak with interested students about a liberal arts education at ¾¨Ó㴫ý, requirements for admissions, and financial aid.
Thirty-three ¾¨Ó㴫ý students were recently selected for membership in Mortar Board, an honor society that recognizes seniors with leadership, scholarship, and service skills.
Dr. John Bonomo, ¾¨Ó㴫ý associate professor of computer science, is the author of "You Can Teach an Old Mathematician New Tricks" that was published in the November issue of The College Mathematics Journal.




Six ¾¨Ó㴫ý faculty members will speak on "Moving Toward Praxis: Helping Students to Learn about Diversity through Experience," Wednesday, Sept. 30, at 11:40 a.m. in the Sebastian Mueller Theater of the McKelvey Campus Center.

Dr. Shannon Smithey, ¾¨Ó㴫ý associate professor of political science and sociology, will speak at Faires Faculty Forum Wednesday, April 28, at 11:40 a.m. in the Sebastian Mueller Theater of the McKelvey Campus Center.

¾¨Ó㴫ý will host The Cleveland Duo and James Umble in concert Tuesday, Feb. 22, at 7:30 p.m. in Orr Auditorium. The program is free and open to the public.
Jesse Ligo, ¾¨Ó㴫ý associate professor of accounting, will present "I'm a CPA and I'm Here to Help" at Faires Faculty Forum Wednesday, Oct. 26, at 11:40 a.m. in the Sebastian Mueller Theater of the McKelvey Campus Center.

¾¨Ó㴫ý's fraternities and sororities raised over $17,000 in money and Student Government Association (SGA) collected more than 51,000 food, clothing, toys, and other items during Greek Week 2012.

NEW WILMINGTON, Pa. - Sarah Wilhelm will present "Aquaponics: Food for the Future" at 12:45 p.m. Tuesday, Feb. 25 at ¾¨Ó㴫ý's Phillips Lecture Hall in the Hoyt Science Resources Center. Wilhelm was hired by Youngstown City Schools in 2012 to build the first high school level aquaponic facility in Ohio. The event is free and open to the public.
