Dr. Jacek Fabrykowski, associate professor of mathematics and statistics at Youngstown State University, will talk about "Strategies for Problem Solving" Thursday, Nov. 21, at 4 p.m. in Hoyt Science Resources Center room 152.
The ¾¨Ó㴫ý Planetarium presents "Inner Space Medicine: The Inside Story" March 20-21 and March 27-29 at 7 p.m. in the Hoyt Science Resources Center Planetarium, room 116.
"This new show is a departure from the usual presentation at the planetarium because it explores the complexity, mystery, and grandeur of the universe inside the human body, which mirrors the vast, uncharted realms of outer space" said Dr. G. Samuel Lightner IV, professor and chair of physics at ¾¨Ó㴫ý.
Theatre ¾¨Ó㴫ý will present Arthur Miller's All My Sons Thursday-Saturday, Feb. 22-24 at 7:30 p.m. and Sunday, Feb. 25, at 2:30 p.m. in Beeghly Theatre.
Dr. Bryan Rennie, ¾¨Ó㴫ý associate professor and Vira I. Heinz chair in religion, was the keynote speaker at the biennial conference of the Association for the Study of Eastern Christian History and Culture held Oct. 5 at Ohio State University.
Dr. Joshua Corrette-Bennett, ¾¨Ó㴫ý assistant professor of biology, and Dr. Bethany Hicok, ¾¨Ó㴫ý associate professor of English, co-authored "Designer Genes: Teaching the Ethical Dimensions of Genetic Research in Clustered Courses."
Veronica Geretz, a senior psychology and philosophy major, received an undergraduate research grant from ¾¨Ó㴫ý's Drinko Center for Excellence in Teaching and Learning.
Theatre ¾¨Ó㴫ý will present Premium, written, directed, and produced by ¾¨Ó㴫ý senior English major Amanda Ehrhardt, Nov. 12-15 in Beeghly Theater.
Dr. James Rhoads, ¾¨Ó㴫ý professor of political science, presented a paper at the annual meeting of The International Society of Political Psychology July 7-10 in San Francisco.
Opera ¾¨Ó㴫ý will present "Brides and Wannabes" Friday, April 8, at 7:30 p.m. in Orr Auditorium. The program is free and open to the public.
Three ¾¨Ó㴫ý senior neuroscience majors presented posters on their research at the Society for Neuroscience conference Nov. 12-15 in Washington, D.C.
