Opera ¾¨Ó㴫ý will present "Brides and Wannabes" Friday, April 8, at 7:30 p.m. in Orr Auditorium. The program is free and open to the public.
¾¨Ó㴫ý students will perform scenes from some of the best-loved operas, including The Bartered Bride, Rigoletto, Ernani, The Beggar Student, Zigeunerliebe, Countess Mariza, and Csardasfurstin.
The event is coordinated by stage director Dr. Anne Hagan Bentz, ¾¨Ó㴫ý associate professor of music, and orchestra conductor Mihai Valcu, ¾¨Ó㴫ý adjunct music faculty. ¾¨Ó㴫ý adjunct music faculty Marie Libal-Smith is pianist and an orchestra of ¾¨Ó㴫ý faculty, students, and guest musicians will provide instrumental support.
