More than 340 students earned diplomas during the 154th annual ¾¨Ó㴫ý commencement ceremonies Saturday.

Dr. David Goldberg, ¾¨Ó㴫ý associate professor of philosophy, presented "A Nietzschean Solution to Ethical Relativism" Feb. 26 at Slippery Rock University. The talk was part of the lecture series sponsored by the university's Philosophy Club.

Dr. Andrew Ade, ¾¨Ó㴫ý associate professor of English, will present "Stage 2: Dramatizing a Dual Vision of Africa" at the Bleasby Colloquium Thursday, Nov. 19, at 7 p.m. in the Sebastian Mueller Theater of the McKelvey Campus Center. The program is free and open to the public.


The ¾¨Ó㴫ý Faculty Jazz Quartet and the Faculty Brass Quintet performed for a variety of audiences over the summer.



Seven ¾¨Ó㴫ý history majors presented papers and four faculty attended the Western Pennsylvania Regional Phi Alpha Theta conference March 26 at Grove City College.

¾¨Ó㴫ý's Chamber Singers and Concert Choir will sing at several Presbyterian churches in North Carolina, Georgia, and Florida on their annual tour Jan. 6-14.

NEW WILMINGTON, Pa. - Five students from ¾¨Ó㴫ý's Language in Motion program gave presentations at Wilmington Area Middle School April 18-19.

The ¾¨Ó㴫ý chapter of Kappa Mu Epsilon mathematics honor society inducted seven students as new members at a ceremony at Gallo's Italian Villa in New Castle.
"The History of New Wilmington" book will arrive soon, but there is still time to take advantage of the pre-publication sale price of $24.95.
"When the book becomes available for sale, the price is $29.95," said Al Sternbergh, a member of the book committee. "People may want to take advantage of the $24.95 pre-publication price. There is an additional $8 charge for those who want books shipped to them."
This 12-chapter book, explores the life and times of a town since 1797. The history includes: Native Americans, town government and services, civic and community organizations, churches, the Amish, The Tavern, leisure time and sports activities, and ¾¨Ó㴫ý. It also includes a family section with over 100 photographs of historic homes, people and more.
