Dr. Shahroukh Mistry, ¾¨Ó㴫ý assistant professor of biology, has been chosen as recipient of the 2007-2008 Henderson Lectureship Award.

Dr. Bryan Rennie, ¾¨Ó㴫ý associate professor and Vira I. Heinz chair in religion, organized three academic sessions on the study of religion for the American Academy of Religion/Society of Biblical Literature (AAR/SBL) at their conference in San Diego.
The ¾¨Ó㴫ý Drinko Center for Excellence in Teaching and Learning awarded an undergraduate research grant to Julie Alderson, a ¾¨Ó㴫ý senior biology major.
Opera ¾¨Ó㴫ý will present "A Night at the Opera" Saturday, April 18, at 7:30 p.m. in Orr Auditorium. The concert is free and open to the public.

Dr. Bethany Hicok, ¾¨Ó㴫ý associate professor of English, contributed a chapter in Reading, Writing, & Research: Undergraduate Students as Scholars in Literary Studies, edited by Laura L. Behling.

Dr. Pamela Richardson, ¾¨Ó㴫ý assistant professor of mathematics, will speak on "Encouraging Women through Mathematics and Mentoring" at Faires Faculty Forum Wednesday, Oct. 6, at 11:40 a.m. in the Sebastian Mueller Theater of the McKelvey Campus Center.





¾¨Ó㴫ý's Celebrity Series announced its 2011-2012 season, which includes concerts by Debby Boone and John Tesh.


¾¨Ó㴫ý senior history majors Jessie Foertsch and Amanda Leonard are the first two students to defend their Honors theses in ¾¨Ó㴫ý's new four-year All-College Honors Program. They also presented papers with senior history majors Jennifer Edder and Luke Franchuk at the Phi Alpha Theta (national history honor society) biennial conference Jan. 3-7 in Orlando, Fla.
