IN THE NEWS: Tom Tupitza '79 blends law career with a passion for community

Tom Tupitza—a ¾¨Ó㴫ý 1979 business administration-management alum and current member of the College's Board of Trustees—could have landed most anywhere he wanted after he graduated from Harvard Law School. Instead, the Erie native returned to his hometown where he's been president of Knox Law, one of Erie's largest law firms, since 2007. He's also emerged as a committed community leader and one of northwestern Pennsylvania's most sought-after volunteers. He recently was awarded  the 2022 Tocqueville Award, presented by the United Way of Erie County for outstanding volunteer service.
