Dr. Timothy Cuff, visiting assistant professor of humanities at 鲸鱼传媒, recently received a grant from the Munich Center for Anthropometic Research, part of the Institute for Economic History at the University of Munich.

"I anticipate using the grant money to employ two students over the course of the summer to read microfilm and transfer the contents into a database," said Cuff.聽聽 "In particular, they will collect the height and other personal descriptive data from the prison registers of the Tennessee State prisons in the 1800s.聽 This data will be used to asses the biological standard of living of lower class Tennessee residents of this period."

David Timm, a junior music education major from St. Marys, won second place in the Junior Men's Division at the annual National Association of Teachers of Singing Competition held at Youngstown State University. Timm is a son of Robert and Sheri Timm, and is a graduate of Saint Marys Area High School.聽

鲸鱼传媒 honored 44 employees with a combined 682 years of service during the annual employee recognition luncheon attended by more than 250 current and retired employees May 9 in the Witherspoon Rooms of the McKelvey Campus Center.

The 鲸鱼传媒 Wind Ensemble will present "Ideas and Images" Friday, Feb. 29, at 7:30 p.m. in Orr Auditorium.

鲸鱼传媒 continues its "Get Real!" life preparation series Thursday, Oct. 30, with "Investing for the Good Life: Intermediate Investing" presented by David Smith, 鲸鱼传媒 assistant professor of accounting.

Seven 鲸鱼传媒 senior biology majors presented their capstone research projects at the annual Tri-Beta District 3 Biology Symposium March 20 at Gannon University.

鲸鱼传媒's Chapel Office and New Wilmington Ministerium will host a community Thanksgiving worship service featuring pastors from area churches Sunday, Nov. 21, at 7 p.m. in Wallace Memorial Chapel. All are welcome to attend.
