¾¨Ó㴫ý will host "Green Careers Videoconference 2000" Thursday, Nov. 9, from noon-2 p.m. in Hoyt Science Resources Center room 152.
Dr. Gerald Oglan, associate professor of education from Wayne State University, recently advised undergraduate and graduate education students at ¾¨Ó㴫ý on how to communicate with parents.
In "Parenting in the Empowerment Zone," Oglan talked about his current research in Detroit with inner city parents and teachers. Over the past 15 years, Oglan has focused his research on supporting teachers and parents as they explore children's literacy development. His recent books, Parent to Parent: Our Children, Their Literacy and Write, Right, Rite, offers teachers and parents an in-depth look at children's literacy and spelling growth.
The ¾¨Ó㴫ý Faculty Woodwind Quintet will present a concert Tuesday, Nov. 7, at 8 p.m. in Wallace Memorial Chapel.


Parents' Night at the ¾¨Ó㴫ý Preschool took the families to "The Wild, Wild West" of Little Neshannock Stables.

Dr. Robin Lind, ¾¨Ó㴫ý associate professor of music and director of choral activities, and three ¾¨Ó㴫ý students attended the Eastern Division Choral Directors conference Feb. 14-16 in Hartford, Conn.

Dr. Russell Martin, ¾¨Ó㴫ý associate professor of history, was appointed to a three-year term as Center Associate at the University of Pittsburgh's University Center for International Studies (±«°ä±õ³§).Ìý
¾¨Ó㴫ý's 2010 John C. Hanley Speech Scholarship was awarded to sophomore public relations major Miltiadis Constantine.
Sara Zebley, a ¾¨Ó㴫ý music education major, will present her senior violin recital Saturday, Nov. 20, at 1 p.m. in Orr Auditorium. The program is free and open to the public.
¾¨Ó㴫ý's Office of the Chaplain and Church Relations will host three speakers from the Sudan Evangelical Presbyterian Church (SEPC) at Open Door Worship Sunday, Sept. 18, at 7 p.m. in Wallace Memorial Chapel. The vespers service is open to all.

Four students from the ¾¨Ó㴫ý Department of Biology presented their research at the Beta Beta Beta district convention March 31 at St. Francis University.
