Intermediate classes focus on quicker poses and stress strength, balance and flexibility. Both classes offer stress reduction and meditation and are led by Kathy Birkholz.

Power Yoga, which begins Sept. 11, offers more speed and duration in the poses. The purpose for this class is to develop heat in the body, which makes it easier for the student to attain flexibility and develop cardio fitness.

Introduction to Computers for Beginners will be held Sept. 15 and Sept. 22 and will be taught by Carroll Shaw. This is a fundamental class designed for those who are new to the world of computers. Terminology relating to personal computers, software, hardware and an introductory level of computer operations will be covered.

Introduction of Computers for Seniors Step I is scheduled for Sept. 11-13, and is intended for senior citizens who are new to the world of personal computers. This is the first in a series of five classes designed specifically for seniors who wish to receive individual attention in a fun, friendly and slow-paced atmosphere with their peers. Special discounts apply to those taking all five steps of these classes taught by Carroll Shaw.

Computers for Seniors Step II runs from Sept 18-20. This class remains slow paced in a fun and relaxed learning environment, and is expected to expand the basics of navigating a computer with an emphasis on an introduction to word processing.

Computers for Seniors Step III is scheduled Sept 25-27. This course will touch on more advanced computing concepts that will enable participants to make greater use of their computers.

E-Mail for Seniors is scheduled Oct. 10. Students will learn how to create messages, send attachments, use the address book and more.

Cyber-Seniors: How to "Surf the Net" will be held Oct. 17. This hands-on seminar includes instruction in what the Internet is, how it started, what it has to offer, and how to use it.

Exploring the Internet is scheduled Sept. 29 and is taught by Nelson Boosel. This three-hour seminar covers an introduction to accessing the Internet, e-mail, and on-line services.
