Suzanne Prestien, instructor of English and public relations at ¾¨Ó㴫ý, had her essay, "Past Perfect: Mythology and Shoeless Joe," published.
The essay, which is about the film Field of Dreams and the way it mythologizes the sport of baseball in general, and Shoeless Joe Jackson in particular. It appears in Baseball and the American Dream: Race, Class, Gender, and the National Pastime edited by Robert Elias and published by M.E. Sharpe.
Prestien, who has been with ¾¨Ó㴫ý since 1997, earned her undergraduate degree from Kent State University, and her master's from the University of Toledo.
