The ¾¨Ó㴫ý Department of Continuing Education is offering three summer fitness programs in three sessions.
ÌýSession one is scheduled June 7 through July 9; session two is scheduled July 12 through Aug. 13; and session three is scheduled Aug. 16 through Sept. 17.
ÌýBeginner Yoga is designed for anyone new to yoga or those that would like a refresher on the basics.Ìý The class includes an introduction to basic yoga postures to strengthen the lower back, abdominal muscles, legs and upper body.Ìý This session is scheduled on Mondays.
ÌýPower Yoga is a brisk, energetic class that provides an excellent workout with strong poses to enhance strength, stamina, and total body/mind harmony.Ìý This class is comprised of a vigorous flowing sequence of yoga postures, ending with a deep relaxation.Ìý This session is scheduled on Tuesdays and Thursdays.
ÌýPilates has an emphasis on breath, core conditioning and body awareness.Ìý It is a safe and highly effective way to stretch, strengthen, and streamline the body without building bulk or stressing joints.Ìý This session is scheduled on Wednesdays.
