¾¨Ó㴫ý celebrated the academic achievements of its students at Spring Honors Convocation, Saturday, April 28.

In comparison to previous years when only the students on the dean's list, Pi Sigma Pi inductees, and scholarship winners were included, this year's ceremony also includes recognition of the scholar athletes and academic honor societies, such as Mortar Board, Omicron Delta Kappa and Lambda Sigma, as well as individual Departmental Honors.

"My goal was to elevate the visibility of our annual Spring Honors Convocation and to celebrate more meaningfully the academic accomplishments and successes of our students," said Dr. John Deegan Jr., vice president of academic affairs and dean of the college. "By so doing, I hope to make intellectual achievement a more valued, and more visible part of a ¾¨Ó㴫ý education. Just as our annual Opening Convocation is a true celebration of matriculating our new students, it is my goal to make the annual Spring Honors Convocation a true celebration of intellectual vitality among our continuing students."
