More than 260 students from 14 area high school and junior high schools competed in the district competition of History Day at ¾¨Ó㴫ý Tuesday, March 27.
With a theme of "Frontiers in History: People, Places, Ideas," the students entered in one of seven categories: individual or group exhibit, individual or group performance, individual or group documentary, or individual paper.
Winners and runner ups in each category, along with third-place finishers in certain categories, of this regional contest, go on to compete in the state contest, May 9-10 at Pennsylvania State University. Winners in that contest will compete in a national contest in June.
