¾¨Ó㴫ý will present its annual Christmas Vespers Service Sunday, Dec. 10 at 7 p.m. in Orr Auditorium.

Nine lessons, interpretive readings of scripture by ¾¨Ó㴫ý students, will be followed by traditional Christmas Carols, which are sung by the ¾¨Ó㴫ý Choir, under the direction of Dr. Robin Lind, or the ¾¨Ó㴫ý Choral, under the direction of Donald Rasley. The audience will often join the choirs in singing.

In addition to the organ sounds of Dr. Elizabeth Harrison, the service also features performances by the ¾¨Ó㴫ý Handbell Choir, under the direction of Ann Bruening, and Flute Choir, under the direction of Matthew Newman with a solo by Jesse Hollister.

Luminaries to light the way to the service are provided by the Residence Hall Advisory Board. Once inside Orr Lobby, decorations are highlighted by the Christmas gifts displayed under the tree, which have been purchased by the campus community for needy families and foster children in Lawrence County.

The service is free and open to the public, however the evening's offering is designated for the ¾¨Ó㴫ý Campus Chapter of Habitat for Humanity International.

Even though Orr Auditorium has over 1,700 seats, the capacity crowd cannot find enough room, so it plan to arrive early to enjoy this annual Christmas tradition.
