¾¨Ó㴫ý announces several personal enrichment and leisure courses for the community residents. Continuing Education classes and seminars are non-credit and are open to all interested individuals. Formal admission to ¾¨Ó㴫ý is not required.
Total Yoga is offered Mondays, Feb. 3-March 3, at 5:30 p.m., and is taught by Kathy Birkholz. This class will focus on poses to aid in stress reduction and relaxation.
Pilates is offered Wednesdays, Feb 5-March 5, at 6 p.m., and is taught by Kathy Birkholz. This class follows the teachings of Joseph Pilates in strengthening the core of abdominal muscles along with toning and elongating the rest of the muscles of the body.
Power Yoga is offered Tuesdays and Thursdays, Feb. 4-March 6, at 6:30 p.m., and is taught by Kathy Birkholz. This class increases the speed that the poses are performed, as well as the length of time they are held.
Fit for Life for Seniors is offered Wednesdays, Feb. 5-March 5, at 10 a.m., and is taught by Kathy Birkholz. This Yoga class moves slowly and gently to aid in mobility and general physical health.
Basic Fly-Tying is offered Thursdays, Feb. 6-27, at 6:30 p.m., and is taught by Christian Shane. This class, which is limited to eight, teaches the basic techniques and methods to create "fishable" flies.
Shopping for Savings is offered Saturday, Feb. 22, at 10 a.m. This fun-filled seminar, taught by Kara Lee Mantinaos, will go over techniques to save time and money while shopping.
Computers for Seniors, Level I is offered Tuesday through Thursday, Feb. 11-20 at 4:30, and is taught by Mary Dado. This class is specifically for senior citizens who are new to the world of computers, and is a slow-paced fun workshop.
