The ¾¨Ó㴫ý choir, who recently returned from a tour in Italy, will repeat their European concert for local audiences Sunday, Jan. 26, at 3 p.m. in Wallace Memorial Chapel.

The choir flew into Milan Jan. 2, and sang at Mass at San Marco Basilica in Venice Jan. 3. The next performance was at Basilica Di Santa Maria Assunta in Montecatini Terme, and after a couple of free and travel days, gave an afternoon and evening performance at the Lower Basilica of St. Francis Basilica. Full concerts were also given at Santa Maria del Lauro in Pompeii and San Alfonso All' Esqilino in Rome. After a visit to the Vatican, the choir participated in a Mass at St. Peter's Basilica. The choir also was able to visit the Coliseum and surrounding area before returning to the United States Jan. 15.

The choir will sing the same numbers as performed in Italy including Rheinberger's "Cantus Missae," Daley's "In Remembrance," Christiansen's "My Song in the Night," Lekberg's "Alleluia," Gawthrop's "Bless to Me, O God," Hawle's "Not One Sparrow is Forgotten," Hailstork's "My Lord, What a Moanin'," and Parker's "Hark I Hear the Harp's Eternal."

The event is free and open to the public. For more information, contact Dr. Robin Lind, director of choral activities at ¾¨Ó㴫ý at (724-946-7287) or e-mail lindra@westminster.edu.
