¾¨Ó㴫ý Senior to Present Violin Recital

Suzanne Leyden, a senior music education major from Batavia, N.Y., will present her senior violin recital Saturday, Nov. 23, at 4:30 p.m. in Wallace Memorial Chapel.

Her program includes "Concerto N. 1 in A minor" by Johann Sebastian Bach, "Sonata in G Major" by Edward Grieg, "Meditation" by Jules Massenet, and "Violin Concerto in E minor" by Felix Mendelssohn, which will be accompanied by Nancy DeSalvo, assistant professor of music at ¾¨Ó㴫ý.

Leyden is a daughter of Dennis and Shirley Leyden, 1 Washington Ave., Batavia, N.Y. While at ¾¨Ó㴫ý, Leyden has participated in both the ¾¨Ó㴫ý Orchestra and string chamber groups, and has been a part of the Greenville Symphony Orchestra. In spring of 2002, she has received the Most Outstanding Junior Music Major Award. Leyden is also a four-year member of the women's varsity tennis team, earning second-team PAC All-Conference Honors this year.
