The ¾¨Ó㴫ý Jazz Ensemble will present its first concert of the year Friday, Nov. 1, at 7:30 p.m. in Orr Auditorium.
"We will feature Big Band standards, such as a Sammy Nestico arrangement of "Strike Up the Band," an interesting Latin treatment of the classic "All the Things You Are," and a beautiful flugelhorn in "Jeneve," said R. Tad Greig, director of bands at ¾¨Ó㴫ý.
"The concert is free and open, but a free-will offering will be taken to help defray the cost of the ¾¨Ó㴫ý Band Tour of China in 2003-2004 academic year," continued Greig.
