"Hooked on Love" Coming to ¾¨Ó㴫ý

Posted on Thursday, October 10, 2002

"Hooked on Love," a side-cracking romantic comedy, is coming to ¾¨Ó㴫ý Thursday, Oct. 17, at 7 p.m. in Orr Auditorium.

This joyride through the zany world of relationships, examines serious issues: self-respect, earning respect from others, problems caused by game-playing, and making a point without making an enemy.

"It is undoubtedly the most hilarious and meaningful show that I have seen in a long time&refreshing clean and clever," said Brenda Brown of the Los Angeles Times.

After the performance, the artists conduct a provocative discussion of questions and answers. Finally, the performance closes with a commentary on the destructive effects of AIDS as the performers, seemingly in perfect health, make a startling confession: "One of us is HIV positive."

The event, sponsored by the ¾¨Ó㴫ý Office of Diversity Services, is free and open to the public. For more information, contact the Rev. Jeannette Hooks, director of diversity services at ¾¨Ó㴫ý, at (724) 946-7179 or e-mail hooksj@westminster.edu.
