¾¨Ó㴫ý

Susan J. Grandy, a 1985 ¾¨Ó㴫ý graduate, was recognized by ¾¨Ó㴫ý with a certificate of appreciation and gratitude for her contributions in revitalizing the College's Cultural Collection and rehabilitating its Egyptian mummy.

"During her undergraduate years at ¾¨Ó㴫ý, Ms. Grandy organized a fund raising campaign to restore and display the College's Egyptian mummy," said Dr. Samuel Farmerie, curator of cultural artifacts and professor of education emeritus at ¾¨Ó㴫ý.  "Through her efforts, the mummy was restored, a display case was acquired, and a suit of 18th century Japanese armor was also restored.

"After attending graduate school, Ms. Grandy developed a reputation as a recognized consultant and expert in the realm of ancient Egyptian artifacts," continued Farmerie.  "In this capacity, she made her expertise available to the College's Cultural Artifacts Committee, and has rendered her professional evaluation services for a number of our artifacts."
