The ¾¨Ó㴫ý Planetarium will present "Hubble Vision" Thursday-Saturday, Oct. 5-7 and Oct. 26-28 at 7 p.m. in the Planetarium located in room 116 of the Hoyt Science Resources Center.
"This show features many of the spectacular images from Hubble and the exciting results derived from them," said Dr. G. Samuel Lightner, ¾¨Ó㴫ý chair and professor of physics.
This production features new views of the planets; peeks into star birth nurseries; visions of star death in its many forms; explorations of star clusters and galaxies; and views of the universe when the earliest galaxies were first coming into being.
"It's a new show to the college," said Mary Pitman, secretary in the ¾¨Ó㴫ý Physics Department. "The topic is so visual, it's sure to be a crowd pleaser."
¾¨Ó㴫ý hosts about three public shows a year, but age-appropriate shows are given to area school students, grades preschool through senior high, as well as local scout groups.
