¾¨Ó㴫ý Hosting Regional FBLA Leadership Conference

Students from eight area high schools will attend the Future Business Leaders of America Regional Leadership Conference Tuesday, Jan. 23, at ¾¨Ó㴫ý.

After registration, welcome and greeting sessions are finished, the competitors will hear Alyssa Swatko, a ¾¨Ó㴫ý sophomore from Bethel Park, lead a panel discussion on what high school students should know about college before they matriculate.

Students from Commodore Perry, Farrell, Laurel, Lawrence County CTC, Mohawk, Neshannock, West Middlesex, and Wilmington High Schools will compete in the Students in Free Enterprise (SIFE) marketing competition. This competition was designed by Meredith Muller with assistance from Andrea Bundy, ¾¨Ó㴫ý students and SIFE members, and offers $175 in prize money. ¾¨Ó㴫ý students Muller, Marissa Catanzarite, Matt Saines, and Bundy will judge the competition.

Following the business meeting and lunch, the competitors will attend a testing session where ¾¨Ó㴫ý students and SIFE members Ashley Stebor, Catanzarite, Jared Foster, Deborah Ward, Swatko and Ashley Carnahan will be the judges.

Students will be informed Jan. 24 if they have qualified for state competition in Hershey April 30-May 2.
