Student Receives Grant to Present Research

Brett Turk, a junior psychology-human resources major at ¾¨Ó㴫ý, has received a Drinko Center grant to present his work at the Midwestern Psychological Association Annual Conference. Turk will present his work, "Understanding the Relationship Among Gender, Physical Attractiveness, and Sexual Orientation," in Chicago, May 3-6.

He is a son of Debra Turk and the late Robert Turk, New Castle, and a graduate of Union Area High School.

"Enhancing opportunities for undergraduate research is an important component of the work of the Drinko Center in enriching undergraduate education," said Dr. Virginia Tomlinson, ¾¨Ó㴫ý associate professor of sociology and director of the Drinko Center. "The Undergraduate Research Initiative provides funding for students to conduct research and to present their research at regional and national conferences."
