Posted on Wednesday, September 26, 2007

Dr. Robin A. Lind, director of choral activities and associate professor of music, and Dr. R. Tad Greig, director of instrumental activities and assistant professor of music, will present sessions on music education at the Delaware State Music Conference Friday, Oct. 12.

Lind will present "Five Steps to Improving Your Choral Program," examining self-assessment, personality, leadership skills, and other issues related to choral educator effectiveness and success.

Greig's presentation, "Warming-up: Training for Future Success," focuses on the rationale and importance of various exercises used in the warm-up portion of the rehearsal that develop musical decision-making skills in students.

Both presentations were selected from a call for proposals that included Virginia, West Virginia, Ohio, Pennsylvania, New Jersey, Maryland, and Delaware.

Lind, who has been with ¾¨Ó㴫ý since 2000, earned her undergraduate degree at Albertsons College of Idaho, a master's at the University of Oregon, and a Ph.D. at the University of Utah.
