Dr. Charisse Nixon, assistant professor of psychology at Penn State Erie-The Behrend College, will lecture on "Relational Aggression: What Do We Know, and Where Are We Going?" Tuesday, Oct. 16, at 5 p.m. in ¾¨Ó㴫ý's Phillips Lecture Hall of the Hoyt Science Resources Center. The event is free and open to the public.
Nixon is director of research and evaluation for The Ophelia Project, an Erie-based organization dedicated to creating safe school climates by combating relational and other non-physical forms of aggression in the school. She has published numerous scholarly articles and recently released her first book, Girl Wars: 12 Strategies That Will End Female Bullying. Nixon earned her doctoral degree in developmental psychology from West Virginia University.
